      Re: WendyB - v - Capital One

Just spoken to Crap One, checked dates of when I paid them a vast amount of dosh, turns out they defaulted me a week before I paid them 2381 which nearly cleared my balance! If I'd realised I'd have hung on to the money and paid them a bit at a time!
They're adamant they won't remove default, so i think I'm just gonna have to live with it for the next 5 years...huh!
As charges are only about 25% of the default i don't think I'll get it removed so am thinking that if I file at court I might as well not bother with that bit.
Hopefully they'll make me an improved offer following my LBA/partial acceptance, if they do I think I'll take it.....depending on how much it is...or if they even improve their offer at all.....which they probably won't.
I know they've received my letter today, so if they're as quick replying to that as the last one I might know something early next week.

Yeah, I can live with it, won't be the first time we've had crap credit history.....and at least we've already got a decent mortgage, which is the main thing, although the secured loan is at a crappy rate, but am hoping that when our fixed rate ends on the mortgage we can get them to extend the mortgage to pay off the secured loan. Although the mortgage is with natwest lol and I'm probably not on thier Christmas card list to say the least lol

Things could be loads worse, although the two attachment of earnings for council tax don't help much, never mind, it'll all be okay in the end

                          Re: WendyB - v - Capital One

Well, at work with loads to do but boss gone out so I thought I'd ring Cap One to see if they've had my partial acceptance/LBA and what are they going to do about it? letter was delivered on 15th.
Ended up speaking to a bloke in the defaults dept, who said that a letter had been sent out to me on the 15th. Thats bloody quick! Wonder if its really a letter they've sent to me, or thats the entry for the letter I've sent them?????

Anyway, he couldn't tell me whats in the letter cos its not scanned on, but he says they won't be upping their offer so I'll have to "take it further", hmmmmm, wonder what he means by that....doh!!!! He reckons I'll get this letter by about next Wednesday....ooh I can hardly wait........

I wonder if they are changing tac and offering without interest and costs you never know.....
We will have to wait till you get your letter, other than that it looks like court jobbie Wendy.:slayer:

Do you reckon they'll get stays? If so I might just accept their offer, some now would be better than having to wait for ages...might cut my losses...see what my letter says. Didn't think they'd have much chance of getting stays but they're all such sneaky gits aren't they
