  • Over 15 defaults with duplicates - HELP!!!

    Hi,

I must currently have the worst credit rating on earth with an astounding 15 defaults on my file

Company Default Date Amount Removal date
    3G 17/09/2007 £135 17/09/2013
    Caboot * 28/07/2008 £70 28/07/2014
    Santander 01/08/2008 £1,081 01/08/2014
    British Credit Trust 09/10/2009 £4,352 09/10/2015
    RBS 31/05/2010 £566 31/05/2016
    Santander 02/11/2010 £1,081 02/11/2016
    Gothia LTD 23/02/2011 £1,053 23/02/2017
    Mkdp llp 18/05/2011 £447 18/05/2017
    Black horse 08/03/2012 £209 08/03/2018
    Vodafone 02/09/2012 £58 02/09/2018
    BT 31/10/2012 £93 31/10/2018
    Natwest 31/01/2013 £1,026 31/01/2019
    Natwest 31/01/2013 £33 31/01/2019
    Natwest 31/01/2013 £804 31/01/2019
    BT 28/02/2013 £228 28/02/2019
Based on the 6 year rule, this is how i suspect the above will happen. I have a couple of questions however:

    • The two figures for £1081 are from the same debt - but defaulted at different times - surely two defaults cannot be listed for the same debt? If correct, should one be removed or marked as satisfied?

    • Natwest gave me three defaults for charges on my account. Basically charged me £6 per day for being over unauthorized overdraft. Can i claim back 'charges' through the bank although not paid anything which would hopefully end up with these being removed?

    • Would BT / Vodafone remove the defaults if i was to pay the outstanding balance?

    • It appears a number of third parties in the list above was used for original debts although i dont necessarily know who they relate to, if i contact them to establish why/where they came from would i lose the '6 year default rule'? Moreover, i havent received letters as i have moved address etc - would this give me good stepping stone to have these potentially removed?

    • 3G default should have been removed by now but it hasnt - is this automated?

Apologies for all the questions buts hopefully listing them all would receive an overall quicker response.

    Many Thanks

Re: Over 15 defaults with duplicates - HELP!!!

I'm going through something similar myself with wrongful defaults and duplicates and I've had some successfully removed so far.
Now is this list from one credit ref agency or all 3?
The reason I asked is I've always just checked experian and had one hell of a shock when I checked the other two as they had other defaults listed too and with different dates and amounts !
