  • Is the default that I recieved fair?

Hi, just over a year ago I got a payday loan from quickquid.
I then got into some financial difficulty and was unable to pay the amount of £500 back when it was due.
Quick quid were helpful and we agreed that I could pay back £50 a fortnight until the balance was cleared. I got the balance down to £100 but missed a payment because I couldnt afford to pay it that week. I called to explain I would pay it the following week instead.
Before the week was up I had Mackensie Hall calling me demanding the £100 which I paid on my next payday.
It is only recently that I found out Mak Hall have put a default for the sum if £100 on my credit file.
This is very annoying to have on my credit file, especially for such a small amount and when I did my very best to get it paid off quickly.
Is there anything I am able to do about this?
    Thanks,
    John.

    It seems unfair.

Mak Hall have discretionary power to remove the default. Ask.

    Good luck.

It was just over a year ago.
What qualifies for a default? What procedure does a company have to follow?
I never recieved any correspondance saying that I was going to get a default, as far as I was concerned I was paying it back as agreed.

Is there a template letter I could use to send to Mack Hall?
Sorry I am rubbish at this sort of thing!
