  • MKDPLLP have changed the date on default on credit report - advice please

    Hi all

Having checked my credit report because of problems with a CCJ, I've also noticed that MKDPLLP have put a default on my file dated as 02/01/10 even though the default date says 08/02/2007 - which in any case is wrong as I know it should be 2005, although I can't prove it. It means that the credit report will contain the default until 2016 instead of it dropping off in February 2013.
I'm assuming that this a Welcome Finance loan that my ex took out in joint names without my knowledge or consent (a long story).
Is MKDPLLP allowed to change the default date like that?
The closed Welcome Finance entry on the credit report says 'Debt Assignment. Default. 02/01/10. Default satisfied 30/04/10' and states the account is closed, with account amount showing as just over £2,000. The 2010 date on that is wrong as well, should be 2005 and the MKDPLLP entry also has the wrong amount on it.
Should I wait until February 2013 before tackling MKDPLLP about the entry or should I do something about it now?
They have never pursued me for this debt aside from a few letters in 2005 which I did not respond to.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Did you ever get this sorted??
I've just opened a new thread which concerns the same DCA, and think they are responsible for changing the date of default also! but I noticed you had no reply and now think my new thread might all of been in vain.. :-(
