  • Default with Lowells

    Hello All

Firstly, many apologies if this topic has been covered before.

Background, I became aware about a year ago that there was a default on my Credit File.....my error, but settled it in full immediately (issued in Feb 2009, settled Mar 2010).

I Was reading about getting defaults removed, as I want to move home in the not too distant future, so I wrote to Lowells asking for a copy of any default notice, as I wasn't aware of having one.

I've had a reply today saying that as the amount owed was for a Mobile Phone (with O2) there is no Credit agreement, only a service agreement, therefore Mobile phone companies do not issue Defaults, so there is no paperwork to send me.

Therefore, how can I be showing a default, and if there is no paperwork to prove a default was issued, shouldn't I be able to get it removed?? Lowells have a very bad reputation, so any help and technically correct legal letter etc would be great.

Thanks for reading, any help would be greatly appreciated
