  • Lowell and 3 network

I received the default letter to a previous address from the three network regarding a prepaid Sim I had missed a couple of payments. The reason I missed the payments was because I believed after 3 1/2 years of paying for it and it not being use I no longer had a contract with them. I had no idea of the default because correspondence was sent to a previous address three knew of my new address but sent it to the old one anyway I have challenged three on this and they have agreed it is wrong and they have asked Lowell to remove the default from my credit score. Lowell put the default on in the first place, and refused to listen to what three have said about their error and that it should be removed. This has impacted me greatly and I desperately need some advice on what I can do about it

    Hi JACOB

Write to Lowell's, explain that the defaults has been placed by them on your Credit File in error, the situation has caused you some stress / anxiety, it has effected your ability to get credit, you want them removed immediately.

If they don't you will lodge a complaint with the FOS (if you lodge a complaint with the FOS, Lowell's pays for the FOS to look into your complaint). Make sure you follow their complaints procedure (which will be on their website). Make sure you get Proof of Postage.
