Still having problem with the car.
The invoice that was given at the point of sale of the car, does that form a contract with the seller?
Also, does the information need to be 100% accurate on the invoice?
What happens if you later find out that the information on the receipt, ie the engine number is not the same as the engine number that is in your car? And where the seller has put down the original engine number rather than the replacement engine he has just replaced the old engine with?
Then, when we found out that about information surrounding the replacement engine, the number was checked on the replacement engine where we found out that it did not correspond to the invoice or the information on the log book. The seller then told our solicitor that we were aware from day one that it had not been changed. Which was a blatant lie. And in doing so, actually admitted that he had put down the incorrect information.
