Ive made a complaint about restrictions placed upon certain facilities at a gym to which I have signed a Fixed-Sum Loan Agreement for 12 months membership. I've had no problems for the past 9 months. Can I refuse to pay the remaining 3 installments because of the 'problem'?

Hi and welcome to Legal Beagles.

Why did the gym impose restrictions? Do the T & Cs allow them to do this and under what circumstances?

The pool is divided in two at certain times and used for 'family swim' and serious swimming. But instead of a 'family' using it ie mother father and son etc a load of screaming underage kids are let loose in there. There is no lifeguard and each time I complain im told theres nothing I can do but change the time I use the pool.

To add insult to injury the kids who are allowed in are using free passes they are not members they are under 18 and not recommended by a member

What on earth is this gym doing allowing people to swim, especially young children, unsupervised, without a lifeguard being on duty? Speak to your local authority health and safety inspectors about this as there may be an issue of public safety involved.

Perhaps it is part of a eugenics experiment, to improve the gene pool by killing off some low-life brats before they breed?

I should have seen that coming.
