  • Is this CCA response enforceable?

Hi, new member but long time reader, so firstly a thank you to the contributors on these forums who willingly help people like me.

A bit of background….in 2017 I got into some financial difficultly. I had 35k in debt with 5 creditors. I ended up in a DMP with help from step change and have been paying down what I can since. The total now stands around 17k. All 5 debts were defaulted in 2017 and therefore have all dropped off my credit file which is thankfully now improving. The debts were all sold to DCAs in 2017-2018, 3 held by PRA and 2 held by Link Financial.

Around a month ago I sent CCA requests for all. PRA have produced some paperwork for all 3 debts, but have stated in writing all 3 are not enforceable as they all have missing documents. I’m hopeful it stays that way.

Link wrote to me and said they couldn’t produce anything for one account and it’s therefore unenforceable. They did however produce some paper work for the other account (ironically my biggest debt at 10k) and have stated they consider it now enforceable. I’m not sure if what they’ve sent satisfies the CCA request. Could anyone offer advice on the paperwork?

    many thanks in advance.
