I requested a cca from natwest for a loan going back to 2007 that I don't recall. I set up a dmp as payplan told me I owed it. Natwest wrote back saying that they were unable to supply the cca but sent statements of what I had been paying. When I looked at the statement it was an address in Scotland and the account no. for the loan is not mine. I have paid over 18k to this loan but none of the information is mine apart from all the payments. How do I sort this out please

    Hi PAINE

    Welcome to LB

The first thing to do is send Nat West a Subject Access Request, they have 30 days to provide all the data on the account. Make sure you get Proof of Postage.

    https://legalbeagles.info/library/gu...ccess-request/

Also you need to get evidence of your historic addresses. Credit Reference Agencies, 'electoral roll' etc.

Update the thread when you've got the requested information.

I expect that NatWest will be able to give you a cogent explanation. All you have to do is ask!

I think the OP may be up against it, payments has been made incorrectly for a long time etc.

I have never lived in scotland or ever been. The account number does not match my old natwest account and where there should be a name it just says customer name

On Nat West's website there is a complaints procedure, follow the procedure.

Update when you get a response.

I may have misunderstood. Surely the OP isn't saying she paid eighteen grand for a loan she never borrowed.

Exactly that, I doubt they will admit an error without evidence.

Perhaps Lisa can explain how she allowed all this money to leave her account.

I was in a dmp and they set up a plan. I queried it at the time and they told me this is what you owe so I paid it. But when I requested the. Cca they said they can't provide it and sent statements with all my payments but not my address and no name.
