I need some advice regarding a 2 year old default.
The default was registered at the CRA's and I have a grievance.
At the time of default, my credit card account was on hold due to having financial difficulties.
I had lost my benefit income when I was transfered over from DLA to PIP and couldn't make my payments for a few months due to having to wait for a tribunal date to get my benefit reinstated.
The credit card company sent me a letter in May 2018 saying they will no longer chase me for payment due to my circumstances, but still registered a default in June 2018.
I was forced to putting on a Notice of Correction on my credit file that the account was on hold due to financial difficulties at the time when the card company issued the default, which I felt was unfair under the circumstances.
So the default is now 2 years old, and I still cannot get credit of any description, not even a credit card from my own bank!!
My credit score with Experian is now 590.
Any help please!
