  • Identity theft - credit agreement and purchased goods from 'STUDIO' in my name

On Monday 4th May 2020 I received a parcel from 'studio', inside it was a tshirt and an invoice for an order worth £16.99.

A credit account has been set up in my name and the tshirt purchased via credit. I emailed the company to tell them that I had not placed this order, and have had no reply.

Today 6th May 2020, I received a welcome pack from Studio for my personal credit account. Inside it has a credit agreement contract and a direct debit form to fill in.

I have never heard of this company before, I have not set up an account with them, and I have not made this purchase.

The purchase was made on 29th April according to the invoice slip. I have again emailed the company to tell them I have not opened this account, and not purchased the tshirt, I also contacted them via facebook messenger. I tried calling them, but their phone lines are closed due to covid-19.

Please help, I'm so worried about black marks on my credit rating, and potential escalation arising from this.

    Thank you, WorriedMuch.

Hi sorry i have only just seen this.

Right you need to raise a fraud complaint with them, and you need to report this to the police too. They will probably ask you to report to action fraud, if so, do it, and then advise studio of the action fraud or police reference.
