Before-the-event legal insurance

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good before-the-event legal insurance provider? I'm mainly interested in the clinical/medical negligence cover? I've decided that one simply cannot rely on the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman for any hint of justice (I have had numerous overwhelmingly negative experiences with them).

As BTE cover is normally available as an add on to Household or Motor insurance (k/a Legal Expenses Insurance) you will probably only find it via a broker with decent contacts with insurers.

Thanks. I may have to consider taking out contents insurance, even though I am only really interested in the BTE cover. I also understand that cover doesn't normally cover you from costs if you lose, which is a real shame.
