  • fortisstudio Vs. Barclays

Hi There! I absolutely newcomer here.

    Short description of my troubles:

    I'm with Barclay's since 09/2006.
In past 17 moths Unplanned overdraft fees, or unpaid DD fees etc exceeded £1900
Since 03/2007 I was paying in about £2000 in this account, I've asked few times for lifting my overdraft limit from £10 to £100 or £250, refused. I addition - I pay £6.5 monthly fee for this account.
99% of this overdraft penalties is caused for example:

On Monday XY is outgoing payment f.e. o2 bill worth £80, 3 days earlier (Friday f.e.) My balance is £65,- On Saturday Barclay's applied this outgoing payment +£30 or £35 charges, During Sunday is my account balance £65 - £80 - £35= -£50 , I'm running to Bank early Monday, I want to pay in money, too late already, my account balance is £30.

This scenario has been repeated X times.... No positive communication with bank, customer service awful,.

    What Can I DO?

PS; I apologize for my written Lang, I'm native Slovak/Austrian. I tried my best to explain what happened.

Thanks for any advise. Kind Regards, Sirencly M. S.

You need to read and understand the process before you begin http://legalbeagles.info/forums/showthread.php?t=6

There is a test case ongoing to decide the legality of the charges and the likelihood is that once you reach the court stage after following the process described in the thread above, your case will be stayed along with everybody else's claim.

However, it won't hurt to get the ball rolling.
