Nothing anyone can do to be honest hun, just had some really poo news that's knocked my daughter for six. You remember she was assaulted a few months ago (e.g., 8 stitches under one eye and petrified of leaving the house) well the police have dropped the ABH and assault charges and just cautioned them. Nice. Really nice. Daughter's pretty hysterical about it all and she's reverted to a baby again (well not literally - but you know what I mean!). I'll get her there in the end - think it'll just take a lot longer than I thought. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

OMG HEDGE. That is just awful beyond belief. I dont know what to say. How can these evil wicked people be allowed to get away with a caution. What the feckin hell is the world coming to........... Hedge, I just dunno wot to say to you. I can imagine she is utterly devasted as will you and hubby be.

Hun, just give her lots of love, reassurance, and believe me Hedge, KARMA IS A VERY VERY POWERFUL THING. They will get their own evils visited up upon them, they will. Time and tide........... has a strange way of coming back at ya. I firmly believe the power of karma/nature, whatever it is out there that runs through everything, will give them back what they did to her in some way. They will be made to hurt in such a devasting way, as they should for what they did to her. Hedgey, dont let her dwell on the ****, encourage her to be positive in the power of positive thought. It will reap it own rewards in time Hun. And a huge huge hug and bestest thoughts ever go out to you and her hun.

Life sometimes sh*ts on you, but trust me, it will come back to them in some way in time. It will Hedge........................ we are not allowed to get away with such things long term. It will come back to them. You have to believe it Hedge and it will.

She is already way better than they ever could be anyway, by having dealt with this with such strength, dignity and downright positive thinking. SHE IS UNBEATEN, SHE STANDS WAY STRONGER THAN THEY EVER COULD.

Hedge, I know its no consolation my friend, but I think it is an utterly despicable act by the police to have done this. Despicable. Give her our love, best wishes, and hugs, and instill in her the belief that this will come back to the purpotrayters (crap spelling sorry), but it will Hedge.

MASSIVE GARANTUAN HUGS FOR YOUR ICCLE FAMILY. SINCERELY.

Enjoy your evening Hedge, and dont worry bout comin back on here. You need some family tlc time. We understand............... take care hun and pop back when youve had a relaxing evening or weekend or however long that may be........... Take Care, we are all thinking of you and your lovely girl.......................... be strong, and that way the thugs have won nothing. At the end of the day it has taught your daughter strengths she might not otherwise have learned. That bad people do exist, and to always be on your guard. But I firmly absolutely believe, they will get theirs Hedge. They will.......................... Lots and Lots of Love and good stuff. Chill, relax, take care, and go give family some love time.

Oh jeeesh Hedge, I am so sorry to hear all this, give your daughter a hug from me. I know what it is like to have something happen to your kids and it look like nothing is being done. Both of mine were shot at by 2 10 year old kids brandishing BB guns last weekend. The police confiscated the guns and destroyed them, and the youth referral team will be speaking to the kids and their parents. Ha, like that's gonna do anything.

              Hugs to you too hun

Thanks again girls, I really do appreciate every bit of support at the moment, I really do. I'm not a violent person, but I could seriously quite cheerfully punch hell out of the two evil little witches right now......... and laugh while I did it!!! It's blo*dy awful when someone hurts your kids for no reason, but they'll get their comeuppance one day - I really do believe that. She woke up a few mins ago (she's not sleeping at night - just napping during the day) and I've shown her all of your posts and it really has cheered her up a bit. So thanks again girls - you're absolute darlings. Big hugs right back at you all, lots of love, hedgey xxxxxxxxx

I do so sympathise Hedgey. My daughter is 20 now but when she was 14 she was beaten up randomly, it killed her confidence
As if that wasnt bad enough when my son was 16, two years ago, he was circled one dark evening by a group of 10 local lads and they puched hell out of him, his "mate" ran off home, fair enough he was scared, but didnt get any help. Nick, my son, fought back as best as he could... no real damage done, but they too killed his confidence... The "mate" would not give a statement to the police, so after a few weeks the police decided they could not prosecute due to lack of evidence.

Oh honey...... I'm so sorry. It's so completely disgustingly awful when something happens to your kids, but to have it happen to them both is horrendous. My girl Jade (little petite thingie!!!) is struggling with the confidence stuff more than the actual beating. You just want to strangle people who take away their confidence and self-esteem don't you? I so hope that your kids are managing to get themselves together after what happened, but a small part of me is scared that it stays with them forever. I hope I'm wrong, but regardless of whether I'm right or wrong, I really do hope that they're both managing to have happy lives and times. I'm so sorry hun, I wish my arms could stretch out and give you a hug - mum to mum - I really do. Do you know what??? They say what doesn't killl you makes you stonger................ and I truly do believe that. And if it makes us stronger........... then God help the scum who've hurt our kids. Lots of love standingup, hedgey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hedgey honey I am so sorry to hear about this awfull thing happening to you daughter. I too am a true believer in Karma, those responsible will get what's due to them in time. 4 years ago my best friend discovered her (then) 15 yr old daughter and her daughters friend had been harrased for nearly a year by 24 yr old man!!! he had routinly beaten them if they had tried to tell anyone, he used thier friendship to control them both, threatening to harm the other if one told anyone. he would make them write love letters to him, he would follow them to school and had even been seen on the school premisis by staff. he would routinley tell them that he could'nt wait till they turned 16!!!!. one of the girls finaaly broke down at school, just 3 weeks before her 16th birthday, the police and both girls parents were called.

the man was arrested at the time, held in a cell overnight......and then let off with a caution!!!!!

The new's just about collapsed my friends whole world, her daughter was a wreck, she'd hidden everything from her mother, and even after everthing had come out, she was ashamed....and still would not open up compleatly to her. it felt like a knife had been driven through my own heart aswell! watching them both go through it, and only being able to offer words... and hugs...when needed.

it's been nearly 4 yrs now, my friends daughter is still very cautious of all men (probably allways will be) but she has found her confidence again, she is able to got out and enjoy herself.... she tells her mum....(and me LOL) everything.... and has turned out to be a very beautifull, confident, strong young lady.

Last summer we discovered that this same man had been up to his old tricks again with someone else's daughter!! he certainly picked the wrong family to mess with that time! her father is some kind of karrate instructor!, had his pupils on the look out for him!........ needles to say he has'nt been seen since, but there was talk of him being seen with a very battered face and his arm in plaster......... justice served!!!

All my love and best wishes go out to you and your family in this very distressing time Tempty xxx
