  • Still going for the nastywest

Hello, I was sucessful in my claim with the Nastywest and received my lovely cheque which is now sitting in a new bank account.

Not just happy with that I have sent a letter to discontinue the case with a Judgement for Wasted costs. I have been very resonable with my costs, so hopefully the judge will allow them. These banks have to take some responsibility for clogging up our legal system. Especially when I am going to take them to court for Mis-sold ppi.

Will post if any news. Have given them till the 10th of June as a goodwill gesture

Hell, can I ask on what grounds the PPI was mis-sold?

Where you (was anyone) asked any questions relating to health, employment status etc. before taking out the insurance or did it just 'appear' on the agreement?

        Hiya Ian,

Its a bit of a long story. You be sorry your asked a question

Last year the poop hit the fan, I have really struggled with robbing peter to pay paul. I had to admit defeat, try to sort it out, or kill myself.(truely)

I approached payplan who were very helpful and started a debt management plan which I will be paying for the rest of my life. My daughter told me about the bank charges forum and that to try to reclaim back the charges. Over £2134 in the last few months before they defaulted me on the account. They refused DD which then let to other late charge payment etc etc. I am sure you know the story. Reading about the forums, I educated myself to their scandelous tactics and started enquiring.

I did not know that I had ppi, nothing was explained, no questions asked. I found out this information when I sent a full sar to them a while ago.

The problems really started in 1996 when I got called into the bank and had 3 men in a room, telling how bad I was with my account (just gone back to work after maternity leave) and that they were taking my card and cheque book back.

I ended up crying and they relented and offered me a consolidation loan. I thought at the time they were really kind and were helping me. I signed the papers and that was that.

That loan was topped up in 1998 and again in 2001. Again with these loans nothing was explained and I did not know they had applied ppi, that should have explained and was actually optional???????

There has been numerous letters flying between us for the refund of the ppi on the most recent loan. They will not give me information regarding the previous two. But have offered me a goodwill gesture of 50% on the recent. £3545.92

The cost of the ppi premium was £4,600

In there last letter they stated that I have paid £3,494.89 and they have rebated £975.76 of the debt. They have calculated that I have paid £3,494.89 in interest for the ppi and that a rebate of £599.11 they have taken this of the total.

So they charged me £4,094.00 just for the interest on the ppi.

I have just wrote back to them to clarify the rate of interest they applied to the ppi. It looks like 89% to me. B*****ds.

I have accepted their gowg as part settlement and when I get the information hopefully(they don't like to give you anything) I will then give them my targets to resolve the matter.

Pay me the whole BL**dy lot PLus the interest or its court time

You probably get the jist that I loathe the natwest. I blame them for my indebtedness.

Told you, you would be sorry

No not sorry at all, just wondered as I can never remember being 'sold' PPI but certainly had it on plenty of accounts, CC's etc. In my case they would use critical illness and non disclosure to get out of paying but if you're never asked, how can you tell them? I'll be getting all mine back too - when I've finished with the charges

              Excellent

I agree you have to pace yourself, but go for it

They will do anything to make profit. but soon they will learn the hard lesson. The customer always know best

If you need help with letters I have a few copies saved that I have sent, that you can amend to your own details.

                Hello,

got a lovely letter from them today, giving me a list of loans I have had with them.
In 9years I have paid them over £12,000+ in insurance.

I totally flipped this morning and ran them. I told them to stop messing about and give me a more realistic gogw offer or court. I also informed them that I have just taken the Natwest to court in Jan and was not afraid to take them again. And the fact that they did not have the original agreement was not in their favour.

Oh dear maybe I should be as devious as them and stop paying them monthly and then reclaim all of the payment in have made to them over the years

                I wonder

What a bargain that was and they'll pay out what?, a maximum of 12 payments, if you're off work with an illness that you've never suffered from before or have no history in the family going back 3 centuries or you're unemployed but your company haven't made redundancies in 50 years??

                    Hiya Ian,

I know, how luck was I:rolleyes: All that excellent cover that I did not need or want

Well, maybe they are not as smart as they think they are. I am still a few steps ahead

fantastic progress hell....i almost feel sorry for nastywest with you on their tail!
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
