I am absolutely delighted for you
(and for the fact I can breath again!!)

    Brilliant news
    and
    Huge Congratulations

Well done and a spot of light (or extreme) retail therapy seems perfectly reasonable .

              Hi DS,

              Fancy meeting you here.

Think I'll stick close to home for retail therapy, it's easier carrying the bags.

As for wasted costs, I haven't bothered as they gave me GOGW which is approx twice what the wasted costs amounted to and didn't deduct it fromthe settlement, so not gonna poke them again, I'm happy with what I've got.

Besides, I've claim number 2 in the pipeline for my personal account.

Had to smile today too, went into branch to organise saving some of my loot and they couldn't help enough, instantly upgraded my debit card, set up ISA and a regular savings account, offered a credit card and upgraded the house insurance. When we were struggling it's amazing how deaf they were.

Oh well, look out Abbey, here I come.

                Carry on Claiming

                Hi Tricia

Did you shop till till you drop!! hope that you enjoyed every minute of it.

Good Luck with your next claim, you will be so prepared this time as you have now had the experience.

I do not know if you actually saw my completed AQ, I did use your case No as an example of a case that was recently settled and that Abbey had no intentions of going to court. I put it in to strengthen the argument that the courts should strike out their defence.

They also made various fopars on their AQ and again I bought this to the attention of the Judge, one point was that they had exchanged their evidence to me - which was of course NOT TRUE!!! and they wanted £2K costs and small claims court.

                Regards
                DS

Hi Ds, I didn't quite shop till I dropped but I had fun with some of the money. Got some nice new sparklies, a new laptop, camcorder, bed, bedding and tw carpets and still got some to play with. It feels so nice to know I can get something without having to struggle.

I didn't see your AQ but I'm glad my case number was useful to you, I hope your judge is kind, if it gets that far.

Abbey are notorious for making errors, I had the £2000 in the costs section and actually sat laughing while I read it, you'd think a legal department would know better wouldn't yoi?

Hang in there, you money is on it's way and think of all the interest that's being added while Abbey etc faff about.
