  • NW Loan / Charging Order

We have an unsecured NW Loan which originally started at £36,500 and is now down to £29,750. We have been unable to keep up the payments on the loan since October 2013 therefore there are now arrears. There are 7 years left to run on the loan.

Our income is erratic and not guaranteed and based on our I&E , we have been advised to offer a payment of £63.00 per month to NW as part of our DMP.

My concerns are that sometime ago we were told that there is a very strong likelihood of a Charging Order being placed on our property due to the size of the debt. Could someone please advise on the likelihood of this. I am hoping that if we are able to make an offer and keep up those payments that they will see that we are trying to pay something towards the loan and that this wont happen.

Any advise or knowledge gratefully appreciated please. Thankyou.
