    Re: Mortgage

What fees are you hoping to reclaim? I claimed some back on my mortgage for charging over the APR, but was unsuccessful in claiming another fee on selling.

It's just the usual fees and charges, late payment, retuned direct debits etc.

Do you think you would be considered as in financial hardship, or are any of the fees excessive? :beagle:

If either of the above applies, you may stand a decent chance; if not, I think you'd be lucky, but might be worth the cost of a stamp.

You may not be able to reclaim all the charges in there entirety but if they were exorbitant then it may be possible to reclaim excessive amounts. You can also claim back 12 years on mortgages. Best not go the court route though because most judges think of charges as in bank charges and may not rule favourably. Best bet is to do an SAR get you statements with all the charges, list all the charges and write to your mortgage company heading it up as letter before action requesting the return of the excessive mortgage fee charges. When they write back stating that they do not consider them to be excessive and also state that this is their final decision you can take this to the FOS for adjudication.
