  • NatWest O/D £6 charge from July

    Hello,

My GF has had an e-mail from NatWest saying they're introducing an O/D fee from 12 July of £6pm.

It tells us that we can cancel the account or move to an account that they may offer before then.....

Can we refuse to accept the changes? She has about £1900 on her O/D that she's repaying each month. She doesn't use the NatWest account.

    Cheers.

The answer is no but they are falling into line with what LloydsTSB currently charge. I've had the same paper stating the same thing.

They only charge that amount if you use the authorised overdraft rather than exceed the overdraft.

Yeah its all part of the authorised O/D that she has, its only £6 but then that does add up over the year.

At least they are not doing a Halifax they charged £5 a day even for authorised.

Can you not move the O/D onto a 0% Credit Card - work at paying it off, then cut the credit card up?
