Nationwide are not being very kind.help me please. In a nut shell I overstretched myself for a long time from 2004 onwards and got over £70000 of bank
charges I also was made redundant 2006 and unfairly in 2009 which I won at a tribunal and that helped to pay off most of my debts the Nationwide did pay me back £230 as a goodwill gesture for the fees but this went towards £1150 overdraft and some added extra fees I paid £1000 out of my tribunal
award but still had £150 I thought this had been paid off to another debt collecting agency and last month I got a letter saying that I still owed a £150 should I complain to the fos help please this has not helped my depression that I have suffered over the last 3 years.

Can you clarify a few points?

      1) Nationwide paid you back £230.00 of over 70K in charges?
      2) Was this on the basis of financial hardship? I am surprised that they did not suspend the remaining charges on that basis since clearly there was a period of financial hardship.
      3) Have you asked Nationwide what those £150.00 worth of fees related to?

We need some more info before we can suggest what to do....

sorry £7000 made up unauthorised overdaft fees and other bank charges at £35 a time some months I was £150 a time
this was due to a bad employer not giving pay rises and him driving round in £75000 car and all the other things some of theses bosses expect
and us workers suffered because of them also being made redundant 3 times over 5 years I couldn't pay all my council tax utillity bills and mortgage which I
had a suspended order until July 2012.
yes I made a Hardship claim I even asked my MP at the time for help but decision whenever it was didn't help me
the £150 relate to the overdaft still left to pay back but I am 95% certain. thanks for any help you can give.

When did you ask them to look at the financial hardship part of the case? What was your situation at the time that they paid out? Were the additional charges after the ones you had paid were repaid, ie realistically was the hardship charges repaid but charges that had accrued in that period not waived?(can you see where I am going with this one?)

When someone writes that it effectively moves your thread up the list. When I click "new posts", if I have missed the thread or if someone has missed the thread and can probably help, it means that they might give it another look because the thread has been bumped up the order of "new posts". Does that make sense?

2009 I was out of work at the time sept 2009 -feb 2010 then as my company I worked for ceased trading in july 2010 then redundant till nov 2010 I won a tribunal dec 2009 but bidn't receive the money from that till may 2010 I got the offer early 2010 when still unemployed. yes I see what you mean but I do mean it was a weak offer considering my situation I am sure they actually waived any charges at any point i will attach my datd protection request to show you the fees. thanks for replying

What we are doing is looking for charges refunded and possibly a timescale of when they were refunded. We are looking at a possible mistake on their part over charges that had yet to be debited and which should have been included in their offer.

whever the refund of charges was
fair if possible and what to do about the unpaid £150 which is fees after the refund and money of the overdraft which I thought i had already paid back anyway
sorry it began to confuse me as well

The issue remains about the idea that if you had a charges refund that they did not take into account the charges that had not been processed to the account but were visible, so to speak.
