i need help asap h samuel delivery

hi all i ordered an egagment ring for my GF last week from h samuel to be delivered the next day which would have been tuesday because the time that i ordered it. h samuel handed this off onto another delivery company called the dx i have spoken to this company as they have not delivered the item yet. they have informed me that the item is with another comapny and they cannot track it or find out where it is and they cannnot give me there number as they do not have it. i have spoken to h samuel and they say it is not there problem and to speak to dx but they are saying they dont know where it is and it might be delvered tomorrow but they dont know. i should also say its being delvered to another address as i wanted to keep it a secret from my gf

the responsibility lies with the trader, that is who you have a contract with, not a third party courier company

i can tell you now with 100 % accuracy that h samuel have an account with royal mail for their special delivery service, what they are saying is crap

i want you to try something

go into the shop tomorrow and ask for a copy of the despatch docket the courier signed on collection of the ring

say you need it to try and track down the item with the courier company

these items are scanned into a personal digital assistant (PDA on collection and tracked all the way,
all collection companies use them

i think you are being spun a line myself

if its an online purchase , just phone them up and ask for the despatch docket number, thats h samuel customer service number and ask them as well to send a copy

you are now covered under the distant sellings regs as it was done on line, same sinario though, your contract is with h samual, not a third party delivery company

ok so what can i say to h samuel about it? last tiem i spoke to them they said that becuase the name on the delivery was not mine i could not do anything about it. but the credit card i purchesed the ring with was mine and the account that i registered with h samule is mine just the name on the delivery is my friends

I have a courier/freight forwarding company, we have links to UK Mail, DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT and others, ask H Samuel for the tracking number and which company it's gone with, if its one of mine I'll track it for you.

thats crap

if you paid for it on your credit card , phone your bank and do a charge back on the grounds that the company has not supplied the goods

and get a copy of the shipping document,tracking number, demand it, you paid for it, even if it is in your girlfriends name as their will allways be an invoice number to link the two

well the thing is h samule gave it to the DX and then DX gave it to someone else. i just spoke to a manager of theres and she said they dont know who the person was that they gave it to and can not give me a tracking number as the person in the belfast office who gave the ring to the other company has now gone home for the day and there is no computer record. they said to me however that they are going to call me tomorrow with the name and the date it will be delivered and i said to them that if it is not delivered i will be contacting a lawer and the police as i would class this as a stolen item as it is my property and it is outside of the terms that i agreed with h samuel

its not in the girlfriends name it is in a freinds name but i have sent them an email saying that if it does not arrive tomorrow i will be contact the police as it is a stolen item and that i will be reversing the payment with my credit card company

if you do not have it by morning, go into your bank and do a charge back, by the way, it can be in anybodies name, its who paid for it and how it was paid that counts
