    Outrageous charge

    I have a standard flex account with a cash card. Yesterday I went into the local branch to get two counter cheques to send of payment . Each of these cheques were for £20. The cashier said she would be pleased to do them for me BUT THERE IS NOW A CHARGE OF £10 EACH. Myself and the elderly gentleman next to me were flabbergasted. I have never been charged for this facility before and would not have minded a reasonable nominal charge. It really is time the legality was removed from this type of robbery !!!

    They have every right to charge. Have you looked at getting postal orders and simply taken out the cash and gone to the Post Office?
