I Had Accounts With Hbos Which They Asked Me To Send Back Cards Ect Because "they" Wanted To Close The Accounts Which They Did Not, Next Thing I'm Getting Bounced Cheques Sent To Me Which In Total Came To Over £10,000 Pound I Went To The Bank And Police Both Did Nothing , It Was Letter Writing Back And Forth To The Bank Who Then Passed Accounts To A Debt Collection Agency , I Then Got In Contact With Financial Ombudsman And Then Get Told That Hbos Said They Cancelled The Debt , Next Thing Hbos Do Is Sell The Accounts On To Another Debt Collection Agency I Complained To F.o.s They Get A Letter Back Saying Sorry For Misleading Them From Hbos Just When I Thought It Was Done Hbos Allow A Person To Get A Credit Card In My Name Change My Address, Of Whats Happened I Am Not Liable For Any Of This And It Has Caused Me To Have A Bad Credit Record Amongst Other Things Waht Can Be Done

I need to clarify what has happened here cos it is quite difficult to read the post.
I assume your identity was taken and that a new credit card was taken out in your name. Then you contacted the bank over the fraud and they did not do anything but pass it onto a Debt Collection Agency. Having spoken with the FOS they then wiped the debt but appear to have sent it to another one.
Is that right?
Have they not dealt with your credit history on this fraudulent account either?
