  • First Direct (HSBC) Appear To Be Getting Confident

Just thought I would post up the following letter that I received from First Direct. Seems they feel they can justifiably dismiss my 'complaint' about their bank charges, though the last part of the letter does at least acknowledge that I have a claim against them in the County Court System.

Interestingly, they state the Court Case will be dealt with separately by their lawyers (whatever that means). Seems to indicate to me that I can expect some movement from their lawyers on this matter. I wonder if they are preparing to ask for my Court Case to be struck out ?

Can I ask WHEN your complaint was placed on hold originally?

When the Stays were put in place back in July 2007. Basically, that's when HSBC (First Direct) actually began refusing to look at things, though I obviously did get the interim payment through Financial Hardship last year. This is really now down to chasing the remaining £4K that I now reckon they owe me with interest !!
