Statements withheld
YB adopted this policy years ago, once debts were called in, customers statements were redirected to the customers local branch, hence the customer didnt know what transactions were being debited or credited to their accounts.

NatWest Bank have a policy similar except that statements were destroyed by the statement team, and still are if the account goes to Credit Management Services.Comment

No they don't not where statements are concerned. Copy statements can still be ordered.Comment

You should go to the Bull in Abergele on quiz night, we went (once) and the quizmaster and half the teams worked in the local branch of yorkshire and loads of the questions were about the history! it was great fun!!! needless to say we didn't win
