  • Could this be risky?

    Hi everyone.

I am just starting the process to claim bank charges back from my HSBC current account. I have a "parachute" current account with another bank just in case HSBC decide to close the account, but I am rather worried that because I also have a credit card and personal loan with HSBC that they will try and close those and demand immediate settling payments for both of them when I try and reclaim my charges. Since this is in the order of £10k it's not a situation I would like to be in!

What is the likelihood of this happening and is it legal?

    Thanks

    K

They won't close them and they cannot close them as that is against the FSA Waiver on Bank Charges.
