It varies depending on what you've been charged in penalty fees, for some this really mounts up. Most claims are around £1500 but some are massive!! And don't forget, if you file a claim against them you get 8% interest on top, so a £20 penalty from 2001 is now worth £40 approx with all the interest.

    It all mounts up nicely
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Good for Fendy! that's an incredible sum of money. Could really do with the money back myself, off to Uni in October so anything I could get back will mean less debt at the end! and possibly a couple of drinks.....:slayer:

going over my overdraft costs me 20 quid a time and any DD's that are unpaid or returned hit me for £35 a go.

god knows how many times it's happened. maybe i should look at managing my money better?!

We have all been in the position you are in now. Managing your money better is wise but not always possible.

The majority of claims are settled before court, sometimes you do have to file a court claim (we will help with the paperwork) but you will get your money back.

Very rarely do the cases go all the way to a court case, its normally settled a few days before the court appearance, some are even settled on the day.

If you read up you will see that we will help you and you will get your money back, including any money you pay to file the court claim, and if it gets to that stage 8% interest.

You do not need to hire a solicitor unless you dont want to do this yourself. We have all done it ourselves so I see no reason why you cant.
