  • Help with P.O.C - i dont understand the interest!

    Hello,

    I am filling in my N1 Particulars of Claim form to claim back my charges from Lloyds, however im abit confused on one part...can anyone help me out please?

    I have filled most of it out but i dont know what the interest amount is per day....? This is the statement i am referring to;

    'Plus any interest pursuant to S.69 County Courts Act 1984 from date of issue to date of judgement/settlement at £xx.xx per day OR at such rate and for such periods as the court deems just'

    Also for this statement...

    The claimant claims interest under section 69 of the County Courts Act 1984 at the rate of 8% per annum, from (date when the money became owed to you) to (the date you are issuing the claim) of £xxx.xx and also interest at the same rate up to the date of judgment or settlement at a daily rate of £xx.xx per day

    Is the date the money became owed to me, the date of the first charge?

    Thanks for your help,

    Classylady x

    To work out the daily rate of interest, you take the amount of charges excluding interest and multiply that figure by 0.00022. That will give you your daily amount.

      Thanks Iancognito..

      So if my claim is for £210.00, the daily interest would be £0.0462?

      Is that right? Sorry to be pain but i dont want to get it wrong! lol!

      Cheers
