  • Judge tells me 5 minutes for bank cases as they are usually settled in advance

Had chat with friend of mine today who is district judge. Apparently they have been instructed to set a maximum of 5-10 minutes for bank charges claims as nine times out of ten they are settled in advance and to allocate any more time is waste of court's time.

My local court books them in blocks and states that multiple hearing are scheduled for the same time and they will be called in order. based on them settling before court
