  • Nat West closing my business account

A company went bust on me last year owing me thousands and I struggled like mad until last month. Now I've got back on my feet and depositing £20,000 per month. But, do thay wany me? No They are closing my business account down.
Cannot get another account becasue I got some adverse credit on my file when I was struggling.
So now, my business goes under cos I can't get an account.

    Any advice anywhere?

Have they given you a reason why they are closing your account? If you can give us a bit more detail on the situation someone may be able to suggest a way forward, or what action you can take.

Because I was owed a lot of money, I had bills to pay still when it didn't come in, so I went into unauth o/d and they started bouncing items.

Went over by around £1,000. But becasue of this they don't want me to bank with them.

Have they told you when they are closing your account from/ Also, have you started the reclaiming process for the charges they imposed on your account? Business accounts do not fall under the OFT test case waiver. Have you tried to get them to keep your account open?

I am going out soon but am sure someone will be along later with help/suggestions

I understand it's my business manager who is closing the account. They are just waiting for cheques to clear and then closing it.
The business is sole trader, how does that stand for reclaiming charges, I haven't started that yet.

I would speak with your Business Account Manager and ask them to put in writing the reasons they wish to close the account.

I believe Tuttsi had similar problems with HSBC and managed to set up a business account with Barclays.
