While this isn't specifically mentioned in the waiver it is covered by the OFT guidelines
Sorry Curly, what OFT guidelines do you mean?

        The OFT collection Guidelines.

B'clays clearly have ignored this fact completely.

Oh what fun, I'm being sued apparently by CL Finance / Howard Cohen solicitors.

                Oh dear.
Cohen are bottom holes of the deepest water.

Be careful of CL as they WILL file at the earliest chance they get.
Mind you a well placed letter advising them of your stayed case against B'clays wouldn't go amiss, and after all you could always simply change it for the new "owners"

                  Re: Bless Barclays

They have filed, I got the paperwork this morning. One for my Barclays account and the other for my Barclaycard. Both are in dispute, both have charges, etc.

I did an AoS and a defence for a friend recently who had received a claim from Barclaycard from Howard Cohen despite having an arrangement to pay every month in place and despite the fact that the account was and still is in dispute anyway. She then got a letter from the courts informing her that if CL Finance wished to pursue they would be in contact. Which is decidely weird since they'd already file their claim.

Are they just going around ramdomly suing people just in case they hit lucky and get some money.....?

                    Re: Bless Barclays

This gets better. They have issued me with two claims, both are for Barclaycard.

I only have one Barclaycard and one Barclays current account. Both the amounts on the claims are wrong. Neither of the reference numbers come even close to anything on my paperwork.

I have not received any paperwork for the Barclaycard in an age so this can only relate, albeit wrongly, to the Barclays current account.

So well done Howard Cohen, nice work.

                      Hello,

Hope you don't mind me subbing on your thread, I am having a little bit of a dispute with cl finance myself, so any info regarding their activities will be very valuable. They have not replied to my last letter, so I am expecting court papers any day:santa_cheesy:
