Hello everyone!
Could do with a little help with my claim against LLoyds, i am already claiming through Barclays but the letters are totally different to the lovely letter i recieved from Lloyds this morning!
ok - i totalled up the charges i have had applied to my 'cashcard' account since i opened it last year, which came to £210. (i did this online)
I sent the first letter off to them detailing the charges etc...i received a letter this morning that seems to be just standard paragraphs, which have been cut and pasted into the letter. It states that they are "sorry that i am unhappy about my account charges..blah blah blah..." then it says "we have to agree to make payments by setting up or increasing overdrafts or tell customers we cant agree it, we feel its a fair service" - I cannot have an overdraft on my account so this doesnt apply to me and a letter certainly doesnt cost £35!! lol
It goes on to say that if i know a payment will take me over my agreed limit, im welcome to see if theres anything they can do - i did this before i got charged...guess what..they couldnt do anything!
It then waffles on about the Office of Fair Trading and thier new guide lines on defaults etc...obviously to scare me ! (lol!) and then says " i do hope you can see that we make our charging systems as fair as possible - and this is why i cant agree to cancel your charges" (Its not only unfair its unlawful!! )
It then says that "if you have not yet sent your £10 fee for your statements you need to send it to the address below and the 40 day limit will start from when we recieve payment" (i haven't asked for statements because i have all of them for the past year!!) They obviously dont read any of the letters do they?! STalling for time by the sounds of it !!
What should my next step be guys? LBA??
Thanks
