  • Hedgey vs Halifax Credit Card

Hi guys! I'm at AQ stage with my nutty west current account claim. I've just had the week from hell (with today being the worst!!) and come home to open my Halifax credit card bill..................... with yet another late payment charge (by one day - and I know it was my fault but had to take one of my twins to hospital to get his bumped head seen to!) but also a bounced D/D (2p over my overdraft - so obviously got another £38 unpaid dd fee + £28 ub fee to go onto current account!!)

Soz for totally rambling - but I'm so peed off. I've had a look back through the few Halifax CC statements I've still got, and they've charged me every single month. I didn't realise - probs because I don't look too closely at them.

Soooooooooo............. I'm going to go after the beggars!!! The only thing is, I could do with a bit of advice first please. Can I ask:

    a) Is the address in the sticky the same for sending the SAR on a credit card or is that just for current accounts?

    b) If it's a different address for credit cards, does anyone have the address please?

    c) My mortgage is with the Halifax............... any chance of them getting a bit shirty with me for trying to reclaim my charges?

Thanks in advance everyone, and sorry for the rambling first post!

I would use the same addy Hedgey.. oh, and welcome by the way...

The mortgage is totally seperate and they can't touch you with that mate so don't worry.

really good to see you over here and good luck with your NW claim...

As you can see i pushed mine as far as i could and definitely came out on top, even tho i didn't get the CI element it was all still worthwhile.

Hi mad hatter - thanks for the welcome.

And thanks for your answer mate - that's just what I was hoping to hear! I'll get the SAR off tomorrow.

You did brilliantly on your claim even without the CI, which (from recent events) looks like a no go anyway at the moment. But at least you had a great win anyway.

      Thanks a lot, hedgey xx

Thanks hedgey...part of me feels like i have let myself down a bit not pushing even further.... But i have the family to consider first and formost so the decision had to be taken..

I did the Halifax first and they were push overs.. good luck with the claim i will be following closely..
