Hi,
Yesterday i had a shock when a bloke in a white van pulled up outside my house and approached me while i was on my drive asked if my name was Jason!
I just stared at him oddly (for reference here only, my name IS Jason) as he never asked for a full name or even added a surname to his question
I responded with "You are?" with that he attempted to thrust some papers at me for which i declined to touch. Upon my refusal to take hold of these papers he throws them on the floor (public highway) as he climbed back into his van and sped off at high speed.
It turns out these papers were from BW LEGAL and states "With this letter, you will have been served with a Statutory Demand by our process server".
The papers say it is for client Lowell Portfolio 1 Ltd for an unsecured loan with original creditor Welcome Financial Services Ltd with balance due of £3625.17, defaulted 2 March 2010.
No:1 - Was what this bloke did actually legal (leaving/throwing documents of this nature on a public highway)?
No:2 - I do not remember this debt :/
No:3 - What do i do next..... PLEASE HELP as it states they are filing to Bankrupt me. I have no idea what i should do
I have not worked/unable to work since 2006 after damaging my spine & spinal cord (ESA)
My Wife does not/unable to work as she is a full time carer for my mentally disabled son.
My home is joint mortgaged with wife but papers only have my name on them?
I/we have no savings, all benefits we receive only just fund our household bills & mortgage each month.

....please don't panic ( easy for me to say I know) but we do have some pretty strong SD bods on here,,I'll flag this up for attention
