  • interim charging order

In April 2009 Northern Rock obtained in interim charging order at Gateshead County Court on the beneficial interest my daughter had in a property. This was because she had defaulted on an unsecured consolidation loan. She has recently been told by the Birmingham Insolvency Service that the interim charge has not been finalised and has expired. Does an interim charge expire automatically if a creditor doesnt take steps to make final ? If this is so how long does an interim charge order stay valid ? Many thanks
