  • Debts from the UAE

    All,

For those who have been affected by the crash of 2008 in Dubai and had no option but to leave albeit suddenly and have subsequently left behind unpaid CC's or Loans etc and are being pursued by Debt collectors or Solicitors in the UK. I was also affected by this and was subjected to the usual nuisance phone calls and threats etc which were disturbing enough for me to do something about it.

The Dept collectors could not furnish me with supporting documentation pertaining the their claim which was for an exorbitant amount far, far higher than originally taken out. I was not prepared to pay the DC any amount and talked directly to the Bank in Dubai which brought good results insofar as I agreed to pay back the principal amount plus 20% which was accepted.

I therefore strongly suggest you head this advise as you never know when you may end up back in the Emirates at which point you will be arrested until the case is cleared by the Courts in the UAE and you really do not want that.
