  • Weightmans trying to take my home

My partner was made insolvent on29 of May 2012 for the sum of 1400 pounds which we offered payment arrangements to the debtors and to judge, but was not excepted and was told by judge "it will be all over in 12 months instead of us dragging are feet through treacle for the next 5 years wether they receive anything or not a penny", those were his words! I stayed In contact with insolvency company (Mazars) throughout the past 12 months I have now received a letter from weightmans saying They are applying to courts for possession of my home I have 4 children and feel very threatened by this letter can anyone please help me. This has really effected my health and state of mind, and thinking it was behind us now we are trying to move on but it's reared it's ugly head yet again. Tried to contact weightmans twice as they have only given 7 days to reply, letter was received 30th sept but it's dated 26th sept.

Was it a joint debt? If so then unfortunately they can chase you for it. Do they already have a CCJ or similar against you?

There is an interesting video on youtube about some bailiff's trying to reclaim a home but the police turn up and advise them to leave on various grounds which might make you feel at ease https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8g_...e_gdata_player
