Re: statutory demand from Connought please help
We would always advise not to stop paying because of no CCA. But what's done is done and now you need to get advice on the best way forwards in the current situation. I'm not the best one to advise on that, someone will no doubt be along soon who can advise. Is no longer here

Re: statutory demand from Connought please help
Have a read of this thread, its very useful
Debt Collection Agencies Statutory Demands, a few strategies - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum
I believe that if they have not supplied CCA you can possibly apply to get the SD set aside.
But whatever you do, DO NOT ignore the SD, there are strict timelines so you must act quickly. Is no longer here

Re: statutory demand from Connought please help
Can I assume this is the FIRST correspondence you have received from Connaught about this matter.
They are well known as 1st Cruds SD division and like to paper people with these documents.
Normally they are full of holes and complete fabrications.
DO NOT IGNORE IT AND GET IT SET ASIDE NOW !!!
