Hi. Trying to find information on line and really struggling. Went to court to ask for a Statutory Demand to be set aside. Deputy District Judge virtually ignored us, found in the creditors favour and made me bankrupt on the spot. A couple of days later we get an email to say the bankruptcy order has been stayed as the judge didn't have the jurisdiction to make the order. The case has now been referred up to Bristol Business and Property Courts for the petition to be heard again. Only no one is telling me what is to be heard again - the petition wouldn't have happened without the Statutory Demand hearing - so does that mean that gets heard again too? The alleged debt is for £248,000 but is based on a 42% compounded monthly interest rate.....
If anyone has any clues I'd be so grateful! This is one massive roller coaster.
