UKIP Councillor for Hull City Council employed as bailiff by Rundle & Co

A bailiff related article in the Hull Daily Mail attracted a contributor in the comments section to reveal that a UKIP Councillor's day job is a bailiff. The Certificated bailiff register confirms that a person with the name quoted has received certification from Northampton Combined Court and employed by Rundle & Co Ltd.

It's pretty much verified by first viewing the registration of Interests for the said councillor/bailiff and information from a company director check website.

I doubt this can do anything to improve the reputation of British politics.

If Hull City Coucil use Rundles there could be a problem there with conflict of interest.

there is no APIs, so will ask elvis to dig through this week, its worth looking at the councillor grouping around audit and scrutiny posts at the time this was done, from an accounting liying perspective, it would be a good move to have a bailif firm thats, lets say agreeable, at that position

I know something about how councils use baillifs to cover accounting frauds, i also suspect they reward firms for holding accounts on there books over the accounting periods, by also giveing them low hanging friut contracts. ( rent collection and bonuses around that )

I remember the days when Bailiffs were actually respected community members, but the privatisation came in.
