    Affidavit help

    Hi, I need to get an affidavit signed to state that a Limited Co that i am the sole director of has no assets (financial or physical) as I am going to get a visit from an HCEO on an employment tribunal that an ex-employee has had found (obviously) in her favour for non-payment of wages. The Ltd Co ceased trading in Sept 13 but has not yet been struck off due to this tribunal award. A local solicitor will sign the affidavit for £5 and suggested that I search the wwwfor the wording. I can only find wording from the US or AUS and not the UK. We have had a HCEO visit before and threaten to take all sorts of personal items (not owned by the Ltd Co) and I want to be ready for them next time. I'm more certain of my rights this time although any advice on how to deal with these "criminals" is greatly received.

    Have to ask? Did the Solicitor say this will stop the HCEO from further action

      The solicitor said it MAY help. Basically, the company has nothing and as such should be refered back to the judge.

        I am surprised a solicitor told you to go on line and look up wording for such an affidavit.......I thought that Law School would have taught him/her how to read and write

          I would hope they could read & write! To be fair, they said they COULD prepared it but they would a) charge us £175 per hr and b) they couldn't sign it, another solicitor would have to.

            I would have doubts that a HCEO would accept it if it was not professionally written you really need to go to the court to get them stopped and tht will cost

              This is why I needed professional wording. If the HCEO attends my home they won't be coming in anyway!
