Re: Bailiff threat
MP involvement is also mission critical here.Originally posted by bluebottle View PostI am also minded to draw this thread to the attention of HMCTS Criminal Enforcement senior management, due to the serious and blatant breach of rules by Collectica, if the OP so desires.
It is about time the bailiff industry was closed down.

Re: Bailiff threat
The civil enforcement industry has had plenty of opportunities to get its house in order and to get rid of the rogue element that gives it its Rent-A-Thug image. Although Marston Group bailiffs now use body-worn cameras, my view is that it is a case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. The damage has already been done and the civil enforcement industry is now hurtling towards the edge of a precipice and will plunge into an abyss of no return. Any reforms now are going to be a case of "too little, too late".Originally posted by bizzybob View PostMP involvement is also mission critical here.

My suspicion, which is well-founded, is that politicians have been lied to by senior civil servants over the years and still are and because the politicians are rarely in office long enough to launch investigations into the activities of these civil servants, a situation has developed and resulted in the current mess we are now all in. It is only through the alternative media and internet forums, such as Legal Beagles, that more and more people are waking up to the reality of the criminal cabals at work within the City of London and Westminster.Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.

Re: Bailiff threat
I'm afraid it is not a joke, Wales. Marston bailiffs do use bodycams that are on a sort of harness which they wear. Gareth Hughes, the CEO of Marston Group, described them to me back along. It is my understanding that Marstons introduced the cameras to cut down on the number of adverse incidents and a number of bailiffs resigned, rather than have to use the bodycams. However, it would seem the reality is that what started out as a good idea with good intention has made little impact on curbing malpractice. Like I have said above, the civil enforcement industry is hurtling towards the edge of a precipice and will, inevitably, plunge into an abyss of no return. It has only itself to blame.Originally posted by wales01man View PostBody Cameras? So a rogue Bailiff has their actions recorded the debtor complains ?the company then releases the recorded evidence? Re: Bailiff threat
Thorry, thir. I think the latter is more likely to be the case. However, if you are quick to hit Marstons with a written demand to preserve the footage, any attempted destruction/withholding of such footage would dig a whole for them and the bailiff into which the buggers would fall without needing very much help from an OP.Originally posted by wales01man View Postthe joke was is the evidence of malpractice going to be shown and used against the rogue bailiff or will it disappear?Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.

They were running pilots in a number of areas in 2013 and hoped to go nationwide by November of that year. Whether they did or not is another matter.Originally posted by wales01man View PostWe will see what happens when are they starting this?Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.

Re: Bailiff threat
They will still find a way to lose it or corrupt the files, all they have to do is pull the memory card out whilst it is transferring data and it is possibly fooked microSD and SDHC cards are very sensitive to being removed whilst reading and writing data.Originally posted by bluebottle View PostThorry, thir. Trouble is, BB, if they claim their bailiff behaved like an angelOriginally posted by bizzybob View PostThey will still find a way to lose it or corrupt the files, all they have to do is pull the memory card out whilst it is transferring data and it is possibly fooked microSD and SDHC cards are very sensitive to being removed whilst reading and writing data.
msl: and they've conveniently "lost" the footage, how can they prove their claims? But, then, some civil enforcement companies would be that stupid, wouldn't they?
