  • SCOOP...

The Editor of SCOOP has given me permission to post a link to his excellent online "news" website ( link below) which was set up a few months ago.

The Founder of SCOOP is Mr Barrie Minney. He has worked as the bailiff Manager at Brighton & Hove Council for over 20 years and he is also a member of both the Enforcement Law Reform Group (ELRG) and the Money Advice Liaison Group (MALG). He is also the Founder of the Local Authority Civil Enforcement Forum LACEF).

Just a glance at the front page will show you that many of the stories sourced for SCOOP relate to the serious problems with the Universal Credit and the ‘bedroom tax’ and there are many reports of concerns about the number of people queuing outside of Magistrates Court to oppose Liability Orders and there are many news articles complaining at the level of ‘summons costs’ etc.

The articles are very evenly balanced indeed and where an individual has been found guilty (or jailed) for illegally claiming benefits these stories have also been reported.

New articles appear throughout the day. This may make an excellent STICKY

    Re: SCOOP...

If you look at page 2 of SCOOP you will see that they have picked up on a thread that I had started over on Consumer Action Group a few days ago regarding a hugely significant High Court ruling that will be changing the way in which council tax and non domestic rates are dealt with in ANY form of Insolvency

The link should very likely be copied into the bankruptcy section.
