    Re: HCE help needed

Despite the funnies and the Police the CCJ and the HCEO chasing the debt remains as this is from October the court may if asked to set it aside that the OPs husband choose to ignore it all until the HCEO and the legal powers they have get on the case?
    What the guys options?

Artificial Grass Man will probably need something a lot more effective than that, Cloggy!

In the short term, they are somewhat limited. The seizure of the two vehicles needs to be challenged and, if those vehicles are released, the applicable fees should also be deducted from the money demanded.

He should beg or borrow the money to settle the debt, then sue Herr Astroturf for the money owed from the work done at Astroturf Towers; if he wins and Mr Astroturf doesn't stump up, then he should get the debt enforced in the same way.

That is a failure to comply with correct procedures. The police are required to notify a potential defendant, in writing, of any decision to proceed or not proceed. Notifying someone not connected with the case is a serious breach not only of police procedures, but of data protection and criminal justice legislation also.

I would also suggest he sues Artificial Grass Man (AGM) for Wrongful Arrest, Unlawful Detention and False Imprisonment. He should also speak to the court that granted AGM his CCJ and let them know what AGM is like. A suggestion that the court notifies the Attorney General about having AGM's name added to the Vexatious Litigant's List might be worth investigating.

How much is going to cost to sue for wrongful arrest?
Telling the court anything so long after the event has how much chance of getting the CCJ cancelled?
Will any of this stop the HCEO?

Something as blatant as the OP's case, Wales, I would be very surprised if they did not.
