Getting back to the original question, I'd like to know more about the alleged levy of the sofa.

1. Was the bailiff actually allowed into the dwelling or did he just write down items he could see by peering through a window?
2. Does the sofa still have its fire tags in place, thereby allowing it to be sold?
3. How many people live in that dwelling and how many other chairs would there be for them to use?
4. What is the debt owed and what other items were levied?

When a baillif as listed items to sieze have these items got to be correct in colour. For example a blue leather sofa listed that is acuttly a black sofa.

Items have to be listed accurtely and clearly marked (but not defaced), very silly bailiff that gets the colour wrong, but even sillier if the sofa is not real leather, front back and sides, but only leather look.

If they did to something like this to me I would happily let them take the sofa, then within 6 days of the seizure pay them and ask for my black leather sofa......and watch the bailiff have puppies!
