    Hello
i have received a letter which was delivered by hand about a ROAD TRAFFIC CONTRAVENTION.
There was a police diversion that day due to an accident. The police has told me to take a left turn
because of the ccident and i have received a letter a few weeks after that i have to pay a fine of £130.
I have send them a letter stating whatever happened on that day. They got back to me and said that
i have to pay the fine as they have got the camera picture etc.
this is a nice way of making money!!!!!!! I refused to pay them and i am not going to pay because the police told me to turn in the road due to the accodent. They have sent me a formal notice to seize and distrain my possessions. And the total outstanding is £666.64. How????? What a thief?
what shall i do now ? Any advice?

In normal circumstances is there something that would have stopped you turning left? Have you asked for a Police report for the incident as no doubt there will be others in the same position?
