marston bailiffs

hi as this is my first post please excise if I waffle on. I have had MARSTON bailiff knocking at my door now for the last couple of months trying to collect an outstanding fine, this is now paid, back in may 2013 they clamped my partners car that is subject to hire purchase and where asking for £300 because I felt under duress and the state that my partner was in I paid this to them, now am I right in believing that the warrant that they where acting on has then been satisfied ?

Did you pay their fees also?

I suspect the car was clamped for the fees.

How much were the fees? If they were not significant, it may not be worth your while trying retrospectively to reclaim them; if they were substantial it is obviously a different picture.
