    Re: Marston bailiff c/tax

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped me over this. Received a phone call of MCC today and they couldn't apologize enough. My council tax has been withdrawn from marstons and the council tax are going to start my dd from September.
I'm over the moon and wouldn't of known this was possible without the help of all of you!!!!!!!!

Just be mindful that the bailiff might still try and get something from you. If they try to contact you, call MCC straight away so they can remind the bailiffs its been recalled, have no discussions with the bailiff.

Sounds like MCC been on the "Please sir. Can I lick your boots?" course. If they had got it right in the first place, they wouldn't be having to grovel to you now. But it must be satisfying to hear them repeatedly apologising for cocking-up.

It might be worth mentioning it to your local police, giving them the name and telephone number of the MCC officer who sorted this out, especially if there is a risk of this bailiff making a return. If the bailiff does return and tries to pull the wool over your eyes or that of the police, he's going to be in for a shock. Forewarned is forearmed.

That's excellent news. I honestly don't think you need to inform the police. I think keep a watchful eye on the bill to make sure no charges are snuck in through the back door - it's unlikely. Really glad the council have seen sense and well done for fighting for your rights.
