As regards EDF's actions, there is a possible compromise that could be put to them -

      1. That they write-off all arrears, in total; and
      2. That they accept full responsibility for their actions and, accordingly, full liability for all costs incurred in what they did; and
      3. That they sign a written and legally-binding undertaking that they will not seek or attempt to seek recovery of the arrears or costs.

Notifying the court that issued the entry warrant of EDF's perversion of the legal process is something that needs to be done. If the court decides the warrant is invalid as a consequence, EDF are totally stuffed. Unless they are devoid of any morals, I would think EDF wouldn't be able to come to an out-of-court settlement fast enough.

Blimey, they are lucky they didn't try that in my property. I would come home to the bones of a locksmith, meter changer and a copper! On the upside i wouldn't need to feed them that day!

So they are totally apathetic to the plight of benighted British.
